The Erhiopia Yirgacheffe Gelcha Kindu coffee is grown in the Gediyo region, specifically in the Gedeb, at an altitude of of over 2342 metres.  The station, located 2 kilometres from Gedeb town covers 1.6 hectares. 

Harvesting begins in November, and the coffee is primarily cultivated in the local farmer's backyard. The station is situated at a latitude of 5.5220° N and longitude of 38.1458° E . The coffee is a blend of the 74110,74112 and 74165 varieties, each contributing to its distinct Ethiopian profile. 

The coffee beans are processed using the method that involves high fermentation occurring on four layers. During fermentation, the coffee beans exposed to oxygen and rolled in plastic bags. This process helps develop specific flavours and qualities in the beans. 
After fermentation, the coffee beans undergo a drying period that typically  lasts for approximately 28-32 days. The drying system used for this coffee is 90kg per square metres.  The varieties grown for the coffee are 74112 and 74165.

The Gelcha kindu station is a prime example of a coffee producer that combines exceptional quality with community-driven development.
